A Seat at the Table (Kim Wallace)

As we step into a season full of growth, sunshine, and new beginnings—I’ve been thinking a lot about what it means to truly live in community.

This month is also a little special for me—it’s my birthday month. And birthdays have a way of making you pause and reflect… not just on where you’ve been, but on who you’ve walked alongside to get here.

So often, life pulls us in a hundred different directions. We get busy, overwhelmed, or even a little guarded. But God never designed us to do life alone. From the very beginning, He invites us into something deeper—a place of belonging, connection, and shared faith.

In Acts 2:42, we see a beautiful picture of this: believers devoted to fellowship, breaking bread together, and walking side by side in prayer and purpose.

And I love the imagery in Psalm 23:5—that God prepares a table for us. Not just a place of provision, but a place of presence. A place where we are seen, known, and welcomed.

Here’s the thing:

There’s a seat for you at His table—and it was never meant to be sat in alone.

Community doesn’t have to be complicated. Sometimes it looks like:

Showing up when it would be easier to stay home

Sitting with someone in a hard season

Laughing, praying, and sharing life together

Simply making space for someone else at the table

As I celebrate another year this month, I find myself especially grateful—not for things, but for people. For the conversations, the prayers, the encouragement, and the way this ministry continues to show up for one another in every season.

As we head into summer, my prayer is that each of us would lean in just a little more—open our hearts a little wider—and embrace the gift of doing life together.

Because when we do, something beautiful happens.

We don’t just grow individually—we grow together.

I’m so thankful to be part of this community. 💛
