Decisions, Decisions, Decisions by Taylor Barnett

This week has already been a struggle bus and decisions are just about the only reason for that.
Why do decisions have to be so hard?
I’m not talking about the decisions of what to wear or where to eat, but those are hard sometimes too, haha.
I’m talking about those decisions that you really don’t want to have to make. Deciding between being happy and having fun or doing what’s best for your career. Deciding between two completely different, but major parts of your lifestyle.
How do you even pick??
I’ve looked up bible verses for this situation and here’s what I’ve found that have helped me:
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. – Proverbs 3:5-6
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. – James 1:5
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. – Philippians 4:6-7
And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left. – Isaiah 30:21
And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. – 1 John 5:14
Where there is no guidance, a people falls, but in an abundance of counselors there is safety. – Proverbs 11:14
So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. – 1 Corinthians 10:31
But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere. – James 3:17
Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known. – Jeremiah 33:3
Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. – Isaiah 41:10
I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you. – Psalm 32:8
No, these verses won’t tell you and I what to decide in our individual situations, but they will give us peace and clarity to know that God has it all under His wonderful control.
It may be the toughest decision to you at the time, but in the end you will see the amazing result God has planned for your life.
I’m preaching to the choir when I say this, but:
You will make it through this.
You will be okay.
God’s plan is better than anything we could ever imagine for ourselves.
Like always, I love you so much and I would love to help you and pray for anything you need.
